Pilates is more than just exercise — it's a method of reconnection, a practice that strengthens the body while calming the mind. Rooted in control, breath, and precision, Pilates helps you move better in life, not just in the studio.
At Human Movement Pilates, we use custom designed programs to help you:
Build deep core strength that supports your spine and posture
Restore balance to overworked and underused muscles
Improve mobility through intentional, flowing movement
Heal from injury by moving mindfully and progressively
Develop body awareness that carries into everyday life
Whether you're returning to movement or looking to deepen your strength, Pilates meets you where you are. It's smart, supportive, and endlessly adaptable — just like you.
Nestled inside a lovingly restored 1930s home, our studio offers a one-of-a-kind space where movement, healing, and creativity live side by side. From the moment you step through the door, you'll feel the warmth, care, and intentionality that define everything we do. This isn’t a big-box gym or a generic wellness center—it's a home for people who want to move better, feel stronger, and understand their bodies more deeply.
We are proud to share our space with an extraordinary physical therapist whose presence enriches our work and fosters a uniquely collaborative environment. This partnership creates a rare intersection of clinical expertise and movement artistry, where clients benefit from a full-spectrum approach to care, recovery, and performance.
Here, Pilates is more than exercise—it's a personalized practice rooted in precision, curiosity, and innovation. Our studio is also home to original equipment design and creative exploration, where new ideas are born and tested daily. Whether you’re recovering from injury, rebuilding after pregnancy, managing chronic pain, or training for performance, you’ll be met with experience, compassion, and a deep respect for the complexity of the human body.
Above all, this space is built on connection: between practitioner and client, body and mind, tradition and innovation. We’re here to help you move with greater clarity, strength, and ease—and to support you on your journey, wherever you're starting from.
Rachel Neal is the founder of Human Movement Inc., a boutique Pilates studio built on the belief that every body deserves to move well. With a deep-rooted passion for the complexity and elegance of the human body, Rachel has spent years studying its mechanics — not just as an instructor, but as a lifelong student of movement science.
Rachel is certified through the Cooper Institute as a personal trainer and has completed comprehensive Pilates training across a full range of equipment, including mat, reformer, BOSU, suspension (TRX), chair, and the Cadillac. This training solidified her conviction that Pilates is one of the only movement systems that truly addresses stability, mobility, strengthening, and lengthening — and does so in a way that’s adaptable to absolutely every body type, age, and ability. That realization inspired her to devote the next stage of her life to teaching Pilates as a path to transformation, healing, and performance.
She has worked with clients at all levels — from those new to movement to competitive athletes looking to break through limitations. Rachel thrives on helping people achieve things they didn’t think were possible, and believes that when you're moving well, everything in your life improves: your energy, your mindset, your health, your joy.
Her mission is simple: help people move smarter, feel stronger, and live better — one intentional movement at a time.
Summer Scolaro is a Comprehensively Certified Pilates Instructor with nearly a decade of teaching experience. Inspired early on by her mom’s journey with osteoarthritis, she made it her mission to help others stay active and safe for life. With advanced training in corrective exercise, springboard, barre, BOSU, suspension (PSM-TRX), and more, Summer brings both expertise and passion to every session. A mom herself, she credits Pilates for keeping her strong through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. Her own journey sparked a desire to support other pre and postnatal women through this powerful season. Summer also holds a B.S. in Health Promotion and certifications in Holistic Health Coaching and Natural Foods Cooking, reflecting her belief that true health goes far beyond the physical. Sessions with Summer are fun, challenging, and deeply intentional— designed to strengthen your body in the studio and inspire lasting transformation beyond it.
